Description
What we have here is a Purinton Fruit Pattern teapot. This teapot isn't big, measuring about 5 3/8" tall with the lid. It is white in color with a painted yellow pear on one side and a red apple on the other. The lid has a flower-like design with 4 green semi-circles.The pot is in great condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. It is very clean for a pot made in 1940s.
Bernard Purinton came from this long line of pottery specialists and he developed a unique patented pottery casting process which would produce a distinctive line of pottery in Pennsylvania.
