You are looking at a beautiful accessory bought in the 1950's most likely for use as an American Flyer accessory from 1952-53. We all know that a company called Mini-Craft made these great Masonite buildings for American Flyer in the early 1950s, but Authenticast was at it too, perhaps making them for Mini-Craft?
Authenticast was a toy soldier company that mostly dealt in smaller scales such as HO. However, they got into the S game with a few of their products. For the Hamburger Stand, see our other listings right now!
This is one of those fantastic wooden buildings to add to your collection of presswood by MiniCraft for American Flyer. These buildings look fantastic on the layout--the MORE the better.
And THIS one has a very Christmas look with the dark green and red  design.
It measures 4.5" x 2.75" and sits 2.5" tall at the high point of the roof.
The CONDITION:
C6. The paint has spidered somewhat, but it is all intact. The Authenticast News paper sign is still here but with lots of softness and creasing. Looks like all the magazines, etc are here. If this version ever had a figure behind the counter, he is missing. Small hole on one corner underneath. The advertisements on each end are in good shape. Pictures show it all, so check them ALL out. Be sure to ENLARGE them while you are there.
They really did put some nice detail into these--check out the magazines and newspapers.
This is one of those items any collector would be proud to have. It is clean and strong all the way around.
