Wilson's Allen was one of the most important early Tennessee Walking Horse stallions. Wilson's Allen was the sire of the legendary Midnight Sun among many other fine horses such as Strolling Jim (the first World Grand Champion Tennessee Walking Horse), Sir Maugray, Slippery Allen, and Wilson Dean. The blood of Wilson's Allen dominated the male line of the breed for nearly five decades after he passed away. In fact, all World Grand Champions in the history of the breed but three trace back to him!
