Simply fill the cooler half to three quarters of the way full of ice and the fans blow air across it and comes out the vent cool for 4-5 hours. A block of ice or ice packs can be used as well. The fan is meant to blow a light stream of cold air directly 2-4 feet away from the unit and not replace air conditioning
Uses a USB cable for power connectivity.   A jump start box or mobile power pack work great for hours of cool air but is not included.
