The Philips S9985/50 has an intelligent sensor for facial hair. It reads the thickness of the hair 125 times per second and automatically adjusts the cutting effect to give you a smooth and gentle shave. For an extra gentle experience, you can advantageously use shaving foam or shaving gel for both dry and wet shaving. The shaver is completely waterproof - you can even shave in the shower.
The Philips S9985/50 Series 9000 has flexible shaving heads that can be rotated 360° to follow the contours of the face and achieve optimal skin contact for a thorough and comfortable shave. Steel Precision razors shave close and cut more hair per stroke with up to 150,000 cutting strokes per minute. A motion control sensor tracks how you shave (pass the device over the skin) and guides you to a more efficient technique. After about 3 shaves, you may find that you have acquired a better shaving technique with fewer strokes.
