Nicely toned about uncirculated or better hexagonal silver coin from Egypt. This is the unusually shaped hexagonal 1944 (1363 AH) two Egyptian Piasters silver coin. The coin, which is nicely toned, has good eye appeal. It depicts the bust of the deposed King Farouk the first, wearing a fez, facing left on the obverse. The obverse also has the words Farouk the First King of Egypt surrounding the king's bust. The reverse of the coin is labeled (al-Mamlakah al-Mesryah) Kingdom of Egypt in the center with the denomination above and the date below. This is also surrounded with a series of lotus flowers all along the edge of the coin in a circular fashion. This is KM-369 and weighs ~2.8 grams of 0.5 silver. It measures approximately 19 by 21 mm. Low denomination coins such as this one, are becoming very difficult to find especially in such nice grade since these are normally heavily circulated or have been taken out of circulation for their bullion value. I would grade this coin as about uncirculated or better with all the details being very well preserved. The coin is nicely toned and has great eye appeal. The coin has a few small stains and imbedded soiling especially within the calligraphy. The coin shows light and honest wear to the higher points. It is problem free and looks great. It also shows scratches, bag marks, and minimum wear to the design commensurate with its age and about uncirculated status. The coin is much better than the photos show.
