Beautiful large swan figurine glazed in off-white with sporadic areas of natural clay peeking through. The long, elegant neck leads an abstract whorl that delineates the body. The swan has no facial features, but the graceful positioning of the head leads the viewer to imagine a demure expression. This is mid-century modernist design at its best.
This beauty is in excellent vintage condition, remarkable for its age, with no chips or cracks. There is overall crazing, typical of this kind of glaze.
