Details
Description:
Beautiful uncirculated proof silver coin from Egypt. This is the 1980 (1400 AH) One Egyptian Pound silver coin commemorating the Egyptian Doctors Day. The coin depicts the image of a seated ancient Egyptian healer with the words Egyptian Doctors Day below him, the words God is the Healer above him and the words For Building al-Qasr al-Eynee (one of the largest public hospitals in Egypt) surrounding him. There is also the red crescent with a snake drinking from a cup in front of the healer above a brick wall. Just a very interesting design with a lot of symbolism. The reverse of the coin has the date and denomination. The reverse also has indication that it is a coin from the Arab Republic of Egypt. It is a proof coin with a mintage of 3000 piece, listed as KM-511, and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Please carefully review the photos presented as they are part and parcel of our description.

Egypt.

This is a one pound, weighs 15 grams and is ~35 mm in diameter.

Condition:
I would grade this coin as uncirculated proof with all of its details being well preserved and mirror like fields. It is beautiful with no wear that we could find and is problem free. It does have a few scratches and some minor bag marks all of which can be seen in the photos. The coin is much better than the photos suggest. Just a great looking coin which would make a great addition to your collection. Please see photo for condition information.
