A beautiful brilliant uncirculated 1976 (1396 AH) one Egyptian Pound silver coin with full mint luster. the commemorates the reopening of the Suez Canal on June 5, 1975 to ship traffic, after it has been closed due to the October 1973 war between Egypt and Israel. The coin depicts a cargo ship in the water with the head quarters building of the Suez Canal administration in the background and the sun disk on top of it all. The coin is labeled (Gomhuriet Misr al-Arabia) Arab Republic of Egypt. It is KM-454 and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver and measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. Condition:
I would grade this coin as a brilliant un-circulated with all the details and full mint luster. The coin has all of its details very well preserved, with nice eye appeal. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have minor scratches, some bag marks, one or two minor nicks to the rim, and no observable wear commensurate with its uncirculated status.
