ANTIQUE RARE STANLEY 'SWEETHEART SLANT-LID' TOOL BOX Wood Brass Tool Box
This is an antique original Stanley Sweetheart tool box. It does not have the insert tray. It is all original and is as found. The hinges are bent (from opening the lid panels) and the lids do not fully close. I have not removed or straightened the hinges but you can see the bend below the two screws (see closeup example). Paint loss and rust but no cracks in the metal hinges. There is a dent in the top of the handle. The wood outside and inside is in great solid shape with some paint spots and areas and only minor edge. No gouging  or cracks inside the box, there is an area of white paint but the wood underneath looks solid. The end caps are two panel construction and there is a slight opening between panels one side where there is a little separation of the corner joint (see photos). but looks like it could be repaired easily or enjoyed just the way it is.
Measures 15" long, 9" wide and 7.5 high (including handle in the height).
