Original American Flyer from 1953 only.   Very nice, all original & fully intact, no rust. Patina & lettering very nice and bright. Cleaned and ready to go. Has a few slight marks, but overall looks clean.  Hard to find in this top condition. Collector quality. Reduced shipping cost for multiple items. Outside continental US, buyer pays actual postage.
In 1953, American Flyer (or Minicraft) changed the 270 from light blue to dark blue and made a number of other changes, such as the use of pressed cardboard taped together on the back instead of the all masonite construction that was used in 1952. This one is unique and very, very rare as it has the all masonite construction from 1952, but the dark blue paint from 1953. It was probably a transition piece, but in 40 years of collecting, we have only seen two others like it. It also has the 1952 signs and 2-part door. To top it all off, it is in very nice, all original condition.  It is  crisp and nice and it looks like it was painted yesterday, not 66 years ago, and the signs, etc. are crisp and sharp. There are a few slight marks though. Otherwise, it looks very clean. It is very hard to find these dark blue ones all complete and original, but this one is. A nice and rare addition to any collection. Please see photos to confirm condition.
