Beautiful brilliant uncirculated 1978 (1398 AH) one Egyptian pound silver coin. The coin depicts the image of two falcons standing on both sides of n obelisk with the sun disk on top (the logo of Ain Shams University in Cairo Egypt). The coin which commemorates the 25th anniversary of the Ain Shams University is labeled Gomhouriat Masir al-Arabyiah (Arab Republic of Egypt). It is KM-481 and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. This is a commemorative silver coin of low mintage (50,000) and as such it is rather scarce. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition:
I would grade this coin as a beautiful brilliant uncirculated with all the details being very well preserved and all of its original mint luster with nice clear fields and a beautiful design. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have some minor scratches, bag marks, and dings to the rim but nothing of concern. Just a great looking coin which is rare in this state.
