Beautiful Brilliant Uncirculated silver coin. This is the 1976 (1396 AH) One Egyptian Pound or Gineih silver coin commemorating the FAO or the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nation. FAO's goal is "Achieving food security for all and to make sure people have regular access to enough high-quality food to lead active, healthy lives." The coin depicts the Osiris the ancient Egyptian deity or god of death and re-birth sitting on his throne with a wheat sheaf in front of him on the obverse. The obverse also has the letters FAO and the words saying "produce more food" in beautiful Arabic calligraphy. coin has. The reverse is all in beautiful naskhi Arabic Calligraphy showing the dates, the denomination, and the fact that it is from the Arab Republic of Egypt. There is also an arabesque floral design on the bottom of the reverse. Just a great looking coin with mirror like fields especially on the reverse. It is KM-453 and weighs 15 grams of 0.72 silver. It measures approximately 35 mm in diameter. The coin has a reeded rim. Please carefully review the scan as it is part and parcel of our description.

Condition:
I would grade this coin as a beautiful brilliant uncirculated or possibly proof with mirror like fields especially on the reverse. It has all of its details very well preserved. The coin is much better than the scan shows. It does have some minor scratches in the fields and some bag marks. Just a great looking coin which would make a great addition to your collection.
