    Installation Guide:
Watch this video guide for information on how to setup your own underground drip irrigation spikes.
Keep in mind that its not
    recommended
to mix these spikes with sprinklers on the same irrigation valve. This spike emits only 4 gallons per hour directly to the root zone of your target plant. A typical sprinkler will consume much more. So the station time for sprinklers is normally around 10 min. This spike should be left on for 20 - 60 min depending on water pressure and plant size. If your ground is sloping, install the spike on the up-hill side of the plant to facilitate the water migration towards the plant.
On a single irrigation valve / station, you can easily have 25+ of these spikes attached due to the low water consumption. There are several ways you can hook them up. The feed line is a standard 1/4 poly tube. This tube can be connected to a multi-outlet manifold if your plants are closely located or it can be connected in string fashion to a 1/2" poly tube using little 1/4 barbed couplings. We recommend burying the tubes just below the surface for a cleaner look and to protect the tubes from UV.
The ideal water pressure is 25 psi, but will work up to 60 psi. At higher pressures there is a risk that the tube connections will separate over time. If you have high water pressure we recommend using simple 25 psi 1/2" pressure reducers.
The little red valve is not used to turn the water on and off, its merely a gripper to you can pull out the top to clean it in case it is clogged by sediments.
Have fun saving water and keeping your plants happy and healthy.
